Teaching Assistant Grade 3

Ash Lea School governors are looking to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic individual with a commitment to delivering a high standard of classroom support as part of a caring and child focused class team.

The successful candidate will have achieved a minimum of an NVQ level 3 or equivalent, with an educational focus. Knowledge of how children learn, early learning strategies, child protection, child development and the SEN code of practice is desirable. Experience of working within a special educational setting as well as training in First Aid, CRB and Moving and Handling would be advantageous. The ability to work under pressure, while meeting the ever-changing needs of the school environment, is essential. You will need to be proactive and work on your own initiative whilst being part of a wider team.

Working hours are Wednesday – Friday 8.45am to 3.45pm with 30 minutes for lunch. This position is offered on a permanent contract with an immediate start date.

Life After Ash Lea, Transition and EHCP Co-ordinator

Are you passionate about supporting young people as they prepare for life beyond school?

We are seeking a dedicated Careers & Transitions Coordinator to support pupils in planning their future pathways. The role involves developing and managing work experience, career events, and transition planning, while advising pupils and families on post-school opportunities such as further education, apprenticeships, and employment. You will work closely with external partners, ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice, and contribute to EHCP processes, meetings, and staff training. Strong communication, organisational skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team are essential. Experience with SEND or careers education is advantageous but not essential.
